Meet Benjamin Patrick Carlson

Well - I had the best news when I got into work this morning! I logged into my email and got this lovely surprise....

My best friend Erin (who lives in the USA) had her baby boy in the early hours of yesterday morning. Benjamin Patrick Carlson was 8lbs 6oz and a whole 21 inches long. Mum and baby are doing well and Dad is chuffed to bits!!

Unfortunately, I am unable to be out there to enjoy all the excitement and celebrations of the new birth 'coz I live three thousand miles away in the UK! (big sigh....sad violin music.....are you feeling sorry for me yet?!!!)

Anyhoo...it's such good news and I am over the moon for Erin & Chris. I know that they are going to be amazing, loving and fun parents. I'm sure that little Ben is going to be a daily source of joy for them (even though they are likely to have some sleepless nights!), and I really hope that he isn't "too growed-up" before I get to meet him!!
